(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford residents were arrested after lost prevention at Walmart caught them shoplifting Tuesday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, employees witnessed 31-year-old Brittnay York and 25-year-old Damin York put several items into a diaper bag and a purse.
"They then went to the self-check outs and paid for a few items, but not for the items they had hid in the diaper bag and purse," Parsley says. "Lost prevention then stopped them and contacted police."
When officers arrived they found the stolen items and the two were arrested.
