(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police were called to a home in the 500 block of Basswood Drive Saturday afternoon after a report that a 14-year-old boy had been shot with a BB gun.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the incident stemmed from an altercation between the 14-year-old and a 12-year-old boy who were exchanging "Yo mama" jokes.
According to police the 14-year-old boy pulled out a pocket knife and that is when the 12-year-old boy shot him in the stomach with an Airsoft gun.
Both boys were referred to juvenile authorities.
The 14-year-old is facing a charge of intimidation and the 12-year-old a charge of aggravated battery.
