Summer Food Program To Provide Free Breakfast And Lunch To Children

(UNDATED) - The North Lawrence Community Schools announced plans to participate in the Summer Food Service Program.

Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and younger and for those over 18 that are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.

Meals will be served at the Bedford Middle School and Dollens Elementary/Oolitic Middle School from June 2 to July 25. Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Adults can eat breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3.

Crafts and activities will be provided for the children by the Bedford Public Library on Tuesday at Oolitic Middle School and at Thursday at Bedford Middle School. Bridget the reading dog will be at BMS on Wednesdays.
