(BEDFORD) - 23-year-old Derek Gibson of Springville was arrested Thursday morning after Bedford police were called at 2:45 a.m. to Shorty’s after they reported finding a man passed out in their storage area.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers found Gibson passed out, with his shoes and socks off leaning against a wall after he broke into the storage area.
Police fearing Gibson had overdosed call an ambulance. He was cleared medically and taken to jail on a charge of public intoxication.
The owners of Shorty's did not want to file charges against Gibson, because nothing was damaged or missing in the break in.
