Last updated on Friday, May 9, 2014

(LINTON) - A truck-tractor crash Tuesday morning closed State Road 59 for about 2.5 hours while officers worked the accident scene, about 8 miles south of Linton.

Shortly before 6 a.m., a southbound 2004 F-150 driving by 24 year-old Linton resident Daniel Day rear-ended a 2006 John Deere tractor driving by 34-year-old Sandborn resident Ramsey Clayton.

According to Deputy Jeff Brown, the investigating officer from the Greene County Sheriff's Department, Clayton was pulling a 2009 John Deere 24 row planter and his tractor's hazard/warning lights were in operation at the time of the collision.

Sandborn Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.
