(BLOOMINGTON) - Approximately 15,000 Xanax pills were seized and four men were arrested after Bloomington police teamed with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. Postal Service to track a shipment of pills from California to Bloomington.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, late Wednesday morning, police had two apartments one at 1412 N. Kinser Pike and the other at 302 North Clark St. under surveillance as they awaited "controlled deliveries" of the packages.

Crider says the parcels had been screened by the postal service and found to contain pharmaceuticals

At the Kinser Pike address, police found 10,000 pills and 5,000 more were found on Clark Street.

Police served the warrant at the Kinser Pike address after they saw 20-year-old David Feigel accept one of the parcels. He was arrested along with 20-year-old Andrew Dickey. Feigel is faces preliminary charges of dealing a controlled substance and maintaining a common nuisance. Dickey is facing a preliminary charge of maintaining a common nuisance.

28-year-old Carlos Allen accepted a similar parcel at the Clark Street address. He was arrested along with 32-year-old Paul Furto. Police also found that Allen and Furto had been growing a small number of marijuana plants in a closet. Allen was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing a controlled substance and maintaining a common nuisance. Furto is faces a preliminary charge of maintaining a common nuisance.

Crider says, Furto, Dickey and Feigel admitted to police that they knew the packages contained Xanax pills.

Police suspected that the parcels to both apartments had been sent from the same address in California.

Police could not comment on whether any of the four suspects had been distributing the pills and other charges could be filed against the men.
