Last updated on Friday, May 2, 2014

(PEKIN) - Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the death of a 41-year-old Pekin woman who was found dead after police received a 911 call from her boyfriend just before 7:30 a.m. on April 26.

Police rushed to the home of Kristi Williams, at 8531 State Road 335.

Police are releasing few details of what happened.

Washington County Deputies contacted detectives and crime scene Technicians from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg to assist in the investigation. The Washington County Prosecutor's Office and Pekin Town Marshal are also assisting.

An autopsy was performed at the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville. The preliminary results showed Williams died from severe neck trauma. These results are only preliminary and the final determination of the cause of death will not be released until all results from the autopsy are confirmed, which typically takes up to six weeks.

The boyfriend, whose name has not been released, has hired an attorney. Neighbors say the couple had dated for years.

Williams leaves behind a 19-year-old daughter Jessei Williams. She was the long-time office manager for Jack's Auto Body Shop in Greenville.
