(LOOGOOTEE) - A Sunday accident resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Eric L. Bateman of Loogootee.
According to police, Bateman was driving on 3rd Street in Cannelburg at 7:23pm and went off the south side of the road and hit three mailboxes.
Authorities say he left the scene.
He was located and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating a vehicle while intoxicated refusal. His bond was set at $4,000.
