(LINTON) - 24-year-old Amanda Shields of Linton was arrested Saturday on a warrant for trespassing and theft after she allegedly stole items from the Linton Walmart and then returned the items for cash.

According to police, on May 1, Shields is accused of putting five pairs of blue jeans into a diaper bag, taking a grocery bag from the recycling container in the store and left without paying for the jeans.

A few minutes later, she returned with the bag containing the jeans and returned the apparel for a $101 gift card.

The same thing happened on May 2.

Police also learned that Shields had signed a no trespass order at the Bloomington WalMart Store. That order states Shields is not allowed to enter any WalMart property.

Shields is facing two felony counts of theft and criminal trespass.
