(BEDFORD) - Entries are being accepted for the Lawrence County Fair queen and Miss Junior fair queen and queen’s escort.
Queen contestants must be at least 18 years-old and cannot have turned 22 on or before June 1, 2015. Miss Junior contestants must be 14 to 17 years-old. Queen escorts must be age 6 to 8 years old.
Applications must be turned in by May 23 at the Purdue Extension Office, at 924 16th St.
Entry fee is $50 for queen and Miss Junior queen contestants and $30 for queen escort. Only the first 24 entries for queen and Miss Junior queen will be accepted.
Entrants must be a resident of Lawrence County. Contestants should be active in at least one community organization.
The winner of the queen contest will represent Lawrence County in the Indiana State Fair queen contest. Scholarship awards will be given to the queen, first runner-up, second runner-up and Miss Congeniality. Miss Junior queen will also receive a scholarship award.
