(BEDFORD) - On Saturday, May 10, IU Health Bedford will host its annual Women’s Health Day from 9 to 11 am.
IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Women's Health doctor David Murphy, DO will provide free breast and pelvic exams, reduced cost pap smears and reduced cost mammograms.
Pap smears will cost $25 and mammograms will be $125. Insurance will not be billed; payment is due at the time of service with cash or check.
Regular screenings are one of the best ways to catch cancer in its earliest stages. Pap smears can detect cervical cancer as well as abnormalities that could lead to cancer. And, as many women know, mammograms continue to be one of the best ways to detect breast cancer at the early stages when treatments are most successful.
