Daviess Community Hospital Foundation Announces Scholarships

(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation has announced their annual health care scholarship awards.

The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation annually makes the awards from the Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship for Nursing and Health Careers Scholarship fund.

This year Janessa Duncan received the Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship. Janessa is the daughter of David and Barbara Duncan of Washington. A 2014 graduate of Washington High School, she plans to attend Indiana University pursuing a BS of Nursing.

Three students received second-year Health Careers Scholarships from the DCH Foundation. Those students are:

Audra Lane, the daughter of Eric and Linda Lane of Washington. A graduate of Washington High School, Audra will be a sophomore at Franklin College pursuing a BS in Athletic Training, Pre-Medicine;

Kari Lemond, the daughter of Jim and Nan Lemond of Winslow, is a graduate of Pike Central High School. She will be a sophomore at IUPUI studying Exercise Science Pre- Physician Assistant;

Olivia Wade, the daughter of Pat and Michelle Wade of Washington. She is a graduate of Washington High School and will be a first-year Graduate Student at Ball State University. Olivia is seeking a MS in Speech-Language Pathology.

Twelve students were first-year recipients of the Health Careers Scholarship:

Jacob Bledsoe is the son of Mark and Jennifer Bledsoe of Cannelburg. Jacob is a graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and will be a sophomore at IUPUI seeking a BS in Exercise Science;

Andrew Brothers, the son of Stephen and Melissa Brothers of Washington, will be a 2014 graduate of Washington High School. Andrew will be attending Butler University seeking a BS in Biology;

Caitlin Chestnut, the daughter of Randy and Angela Chestnut of Odon, will be a 2014 graduate of North Daviess High School. Caitlin will attend the University of Southern Indiana pursuing a BS in Nursing;

Henley Dant, the daughter of Gena Kay and Francis Dant of Montgomery, will be a 2014 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. Henley will be attending the University of Southern Indiana pursing a BS in Medical Diagnostic Sonography;

Christian Duncheon, the son of Tony and Lisa Duncheon of Montgomery, is a graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. Christian will be in his first year of Med School at the Indiana University School of Medicine pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree;

Leilani Hirasuna, the daughter of Mark and Linda Hirasuna of Washington, is a graduate of Washington High School. Leilani will be attending Manchester University College of Pharmacy; Hannah LaMar, the daughter of Terry and Julie LaMar of Loogootee, is a graduate of Loogootee High School. She will be a junior at the University of Evansville seeking a BS in Athletic Training/ Pre-Physical Therapy;

Kelsey Myers is the daughter of Deborah Myers of Bicknell, IN, an employee of Daviess Community Hospital. Kelsey will be a 2014 graduate of North Knox High School and will be attending Purdue University to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree;

Clarice Nolan, the daughter of Jane and Tim Nolan of Washington, is a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She will be a junior at Ball State University, where she is seeking a BS in Speech-Language Pathology;

Baylee Wildman, the daughter of Kenneth Jay and Rachel Lynn Wildman of Washington, will be a 2014 graduate of Washington High School. Baylee will be attending the University of Evansville seeking a BS in Pre-Med;

Martin Winkler, the son of Chris Winkler and Crystal Winkler of Montgomery, will be a 2014 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School. Martin will be attending the University of Southern Indiana seeking a BS in Pre-Med;

Michelle Zipperle, the daughter of Edward and Susan Zipperle of Washington, is a graduate of Washington High School. She will be a senior at the University of Southern Indiana pursuing a BS in Nursing.
