Bedford Woman Arrested After Stumbling Down Alley

Last updated on Thursday, May 8, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after police received a call Tuesday morning about her stumbling and falling in the alley behind the Lawrence County Jail.

A short time later Bedford Police found the woman stumbling in front of the Company Concourse. She then sat on the ground.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, 38-year-old Kristy Fountain was extremely intoxicated.

"She was rambling and told officers she has just been released from jail," Pasley says. "She was extremely intoxicated and couldn't remember where she was or what she had been doing."

Fountain was arrested without incident on a charge of public intoxication.
