Bedford Man Arrested After Ramming Woman's Vehicle

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly followed a woman and rammed her vehicle Sunday night.

According to Bedford police Chief Dennis Parsley, 37-year-old Jack Robbins of Mitchell did not know the woman, but told police she allegedly flicked a cigarette into his vehicle.

However police say there was no evidence in the woman's vehicle that she smoked or any cigarette found in the Robbins' truck.

Parsley says officers received a frantic 911 call from the woman reporting that a man in a truck was following her and had rammed her vehicle.

The incidents started on Fifth Street, went to John Wiliams Boulevard to Becky Skillman Way, south on Ind. 37 to Mitchell Road where officers had the woman pull over and officers stopped Robbins vehicle at Ind. 37 and U.S. 50.

Robbins had another male in the vehicle and two young boys all in the front seat. He was arrested on two counts of neglect of a dependant, disorderly conduct, criminal recklessness, and reckless driving. He was cited for unsafe lane movement, following too closely, speeding, unreasonable speed, child restraint violation under the age of 8, and passing improperly on the right.
