Bedford Man Arrested After Police Find Meth

Last updated on Tuesday, May 6, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford officers received a complaint about a suspicious man in the area of 27th Street and Sanders Lane Friday afternoon.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, when officers arrived they found two men in two vehicles at the dead end of Sanders Lane.

One of the men told police he had answered an ad about a guitar for sale and was there to meet 40-year-old Robert Easterday about the instrument.

Police looked at the guitar to see if it matched the description of a guitar that had been reported stolen. While looking at the instrument, officers found a syringe inside the guitar filled with a black-colored substance that later tested positive for meth.

Police arrested Easterday on charges of possession of meth within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
