(BEDFORD) - The goal of the Becky Skillman Leadership Institute is to inspire and motivate and is set for June 13 at the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.
Purdue University President and former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels will be the keynote speaker. Although Daniels traveled through and made many stops in Lawrence County during his two terms as governor, this is his first time to speak here publicly to an audience.
Following the address, Daniels will take questions from the crowd.
All of the proceeds from the event go to the Boys & Girls Club. Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by opening remarks from Skillman, who now heads up Radius Indiana.
Also on the schedule, the Boys & Girls Club will recognize the Youth of the Year, there will be a motivational panel session, a military tribute, lunch and the final speaker with an inspiring story.
The day will end around 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $50 each. A platinum sponsorship cost $1,000 (includes two tables of eight); a gold sponsor is $500 and includes one table of eight.
