(BEDFORD) - A 13-year-old Bedford boy was arrested after he allegedly battered his father, destroyed his home and stole items and then fled.
The boy's father called police at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday reporting the crime that happened in the 4000 block of Huron Williams Road.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, officers located the boy at his mother's home. He was arrested and charged with theft, criminal mischief, and battery and transported to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.
