Last updated on Friday, April 18, 2014

(DAVIESS CO.) - A wreck in Daviess County sent a Knox County woman to the hospital Wednesday night. It happened just after 8pm on the Odon/Cannelburg Road

The Daviess County Sheriff's Department says the one-car accident happened at the Leroy and Anna Mae Wittmer residence.

33-year-old Amanda Davidson of Bicknell was driving south and officers say she fell asleep.

Her car crossed the left lane of the road, went through the yard, and hit a large tree. Davidson was able to get out of the car, but was laying face-down and was confused and disoriented when help arrived.

She was taken by Southwest Ambulance to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Damage to the car and yard were estimated at $10,000.
