(CAMPBELLSBURG) - A Washington County man died after he crashed his pickup truck into a tree late Thursday night.
According to a Washington County Sheriff's Department news release, 21-year-old William T. Burnett III, was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Rondale Brishaber.
According to police, Burnett was traveling east on Ind. 60 West near the intersection of West Washington School Road, when his 1993 Ford pickup truck went off the north side of the road, striking a tree.
A 911 call was received at 11:14 p.m. reporting the crash.
Deputy Wayne Blevins responded. Assisting were the Indiana State Police, Brown-Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington County Ambulance Service.
