(BEDFORD) - Chelsey Terrell, of the North Lawrence Career Center, has placed first in the State Finals contest for Nurse Assisting.
The contest was sponsored by Health Occupations Students of America and held in Indianapolis. Chelsey placed first out of more than 100 participants.
She was tested on skills which included making an occupied beds, hand washing, and patient positioning with disabled patients.
Chelsey has won a grant for 3 semester's tuition at Ivy Tech. She is also eligible to participate in the National Finals, which will be held in Orlando, Florida in June.
