(BEDFORD) - The Community Health and Wellness Center sponsored by St.Vincent Dunn, was recently honored with a Star Performer Award from MDwise, Indiana’s only nonprofit health insurance company focused on serving uninsured and underserved Hoosiers.
The office received this recognition for going above and beyond to provide high levels of quality and service to patients.
"St.Vincent Dunn's Community Health and Wellness Center is a wonderful representation of the quality service our provider offices give their communities and we are proud to have a partnership with them," said Caroline Carney Doebbeling, chief medical officer of MDwise. "The Star Performer Award allows us to recognize the providers in our network who go above and beyond to provide a high level of service to our members."
St.Vincent Dunn sponsors the Community Health and Wellness Center, which provides needed healthcare and support to those in the community with little or no insurance. Though Dunn is the clinic's sponsor, the clinic is funded by grants from the Indiana State Department of Health's Office of Primary Care, Division of Maternal and Child Health and the federal WIC Program.
MDwise sought out specific criteria when selecting the Star Performer honorees, including achieving measures of clinical performance, best practice implementation, patient outreach and compassion. Also important was having a shared passion for quality throughout the office.
