(BEDFORD) -The Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals approved a request to place a new sign for Revere Food and Fuel, a convenience store being built at 16th Street and Ind. 37.

Troy Lawyer hopes to have the business open by August 1.

The Times-Mail reports that Lawyer plans to expand the AAA station on the southwest corner of 16th Street and Ind. 37 and transform it into the new store.

When finished, the building will have 3,800 square feet. The building will be revamped with a patriotic theme based on the Revolutionary War and the nation's Founding Fathers. The front of the building will be rebuilt to feature a double walk-through doorway and windows.

The store will have four pumps, offering gasoline and diesel fuel. The store will offer carry out food including sandwiches and hand-dipped ice cream. It will not sell alcoholic beverages.
