Reward Offered For Missing Log Skidder

(PALMYRA.) - Indiana State Police are looking for a stolen log skidder.

The owner was using the skidder logging trees off State Road 135 near the Blue River Bridge about three miles north of Palmyra.

The skidder, a John Deere 540D, was parked at the logging site.

A witness told police that he saw a pickup truck and a white day cab semi-tractor and flatbed trailer loading the skidder on March 26. The witness thought it was the owner and didn't call police.

The skidder has a value in excess of $25,000. If anyone has any information on the stolen skidder they can contact Indiana State Police Detective Scott Stewart at 1-800-872-6743 or contact Crime Stoppers of Kentuckiana at (502)582-CLUE, (2583). Calls can be made collect and callers can remain anonymous.

Information leading to the recovery of the stolen skidder, arrest and conviction of the alleged thieves can be worth up to $1,000.
