(BEDFORD) - April is Prevent Child Abuse Awareness month.
Purdue Extension is participating in the Safe Kids - Lawrence County's Pinwheels for Prevention.
Per Safe Kids Lawrence County; they're not just pinwheels, they're a promise. The pinwheel is a symbol of a happy, carefree childhood. This is what they want for every child in Lawrence County.
You can help their garden grow by donating a $1 and sponsoring your own pinwheel. Please show your support and stop by the office and support this endeavor. Also there will be voting on facebook for the best display with a mini grant as the prize.
Go to www.facebook.com/pcasklawrencecounty after April 7 to vote for the Purdue Extension display.
Winners will be announced on April 30.
