(BEDFORD) - Mt. Pleasant Road between Wallner Quarry and Bud Ikerd roads will be temporarily closed today for the bridge contractor to pour the concrete deck for the new County Bridge 70 on Mt. Pleasant Road over Pleasant Run Creek.
The road was to be closed Monday, but due to a conflict it will be closed today (Tuesday).
The road will be closed for one day and will be reopened for traffic at 2 p.m.
Project Coordinator Bob Dillon says bridge construction sites are inherently dangerous and all persons non-essential for construction will be restricted to 100 yards (a football field length) away from the bridge.
