Last updated on Wednesday, April 16, 2014

(CLARK CO. ILL.) - A Linton man died Saturday of injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on Thursday morning in rural Clark County, Illinois.

73-year-old Jackie 'Jack' Miller died at 5:42 p.m. Saturday at Carle Foundation Hospital. Miller had been flown to the hospital after the accident. According to a Clark County sheriff's report, Miller and a second motorcycle rider, his wife, Wanda, crashed in the area of 420th Street - west of Terre Haute-- at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup reports Miller died from multiple traumatic injuries he received in the crash.

Wanda Miller was also airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. She was released from the hospital on Saturday and is recuperating at home.

The couple's eldest son, Mike Miller of Linton, says the cause of the wreck hasn't been determined for sure, but the family believes that his father suffered some kind of medical issue that caused him to lose control of his 2012 Honda Golden Wing motorcycle.
