Last updated on Monday, April 28, 2014

(JASONVILLE) - A Greene County sheriff’s deputy has made a move to serve the City of Jasonville as a police officer with the Jasonville Police Department.

On the recommendation of Jasonville Police Chief Jim Gadberry, the City of Jasonville's Board of Public Works and Safety, along with the Jasonville City Council, recently approved Cain to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of former JPD Chief Rick Van Horn.

Chief Gadberry says Cain already attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and had more than two years of road experience. He is also a certified Data master operator and completed the Reid School of Interviewing Technique that boosts an already awesome line-up of investigators.

Cain, 26, is the son of John and Teri Cain of Sullivan County. He graduated from Zion's Hill Baptist School in 2006 and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2012.
