Butterfly Program At Bedford Library April 10

(BEDFORD) - Monroe Lake naturalist Jill Vance will offer two free public programs on butterflies at Bedford Public Library on Thursday, April 10.

From 3:30 to 5 p.m., kids can drop by the children's department to learn butterfly parts and make a butterfly craft. At 6 p.m., Vance will present a 45-minute program called "The World of Monarchs: From Mexico to Your Backyard."

She will discuss the life history and ecology of the monarch butterfly, threats to the butterfly population, and how people can create monarch habitat on their properties.

This presentation is recommended for ages 14 and older.
