According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, officers were called to a home in the 900 block of South Washington Street after a 34-year-old woman reported Stoutermire had hit her in the face and stomach and choked her. The woman admitted to police that both had been drinking before the incident.

The woman told police that after the incident, she waited till Stoutermire had passed out and then ran to her mother's home where she was encouraged to report the fight.

According to Crider, when officers arrived at the home they found Stoutermire with the blood on his shirt, but Stoutermire told police the blood was his from a nosebleed and denied harming the woman.

Police also found three rock-like substances in Stoutermire's pocket which tested positive for cocaine.

Stoutermire was arrested on charges of domestic battery, strangulation, criminal confinement and possession of cocaine. He is being held without bond because he is on probation from a narcotics conviction.
