Officers Discover Synthetic Marijuana In Vehicle

(BEDFORD) - Bedford police arrested a Mitchell man Saturday night after they found him sitting in his vehicle at Murray Park near the FOP building.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers approached the vehicle to speak to the driver and they noticed rolling papers, a partially burnt bud and a smoking device.

30-year-old Shawn Cole told police he was parked there to listen to music.

Officers also saw a small bag with the word Edge written on it. The content tested positive for synthetic marijuana.

Cole was arrested for possession of a synthetic drug and drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for false and fictitious registration and driving while his driver's license was suspended.
