Last updated on Monday, April 28, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police officers went to a home in the 2200 block of N Street Saturday afternoon to serve a warrant.

According to Chief Dennis Parsley, when officers arrived they found 47-year-old Jeffery Waggoner who was wanted on a warrant for false informing.

While being arrested, Waggoner asked police if he could throw something in his pocket away and that is when officers discovered Waggoner had placed a pill bottle in the trash that contained three different types of drugs.

He was then charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a legend drug.
