Woman Arrested After Refusing To Stop For Police

Last updated on Wednesday, March 5, 2014

(JASONVILLE) - A Shelburn woman was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly refusing to cooperate with police.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department received a call around 2 a.m. reporting a person was driving a dark-colored Saturn erratically on State Road 59.

A Jasonville officer stopped the vehicle at County Road 800 North and State Road 59. The officer says the driver was traveling 30 mph in a 55 mph zone and had crossed the center line.

The officer activated his lights, but the driver did not stop even after he turned on his siren. He finally used his loud speaker and ordered the driver to pull over.

The driver was eventually forced to stop when they traveled down a dead-end road.

52-year-old Connie Buzz refused to exit the vehicle and police had to physically remove her from the vehicle.

She was charged with resisting law enforcement. She posted bond and was released from the jail on Sunday after posting a $400 cash bond.
