Three Arrested On Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

(BEDFORD) - Three people were arrested after police found heroin in the vehicle after a traffic stop on J Street Thursday afternoon.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, the vehicle was stopped for a window tint violation. After the officer ran the license plate they discovered the driver had a suspended driver's license.

"A K-9 alerted officers of possible drugs in the vehicle," Craig added. "Officers found several items, with one testing positive for heroin. All three occupants were arrested."

Police arrested:

Charlene Fields, 23, of 211 Mt. Pleasant Rd., possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance.

Megan Trowbridge, 25, 113 N St., two counts of possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuiscance.

Jason Fields, 34, 2111 Mt. Pleasant Rd., possession of a schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance and driving while his driver's license was suspended. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
