Last updated on Wednesday, March 19, 2014

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police found an unconscious Red Tire taxi driver just before 5 a.m. Sunday in his still running cab parked near the 14th Street and North Woodburn Avenue intersection.

Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider says officers noticed a prescription bottle in the driver side door when they went to wake the driver.

The bottle contained meth.

28-year-old Paul Bridgewater told police he knew the bottle contained meth and was in the cab, but denied the drugs were his.

After passing dexterity tests, Bridgewater was arrested for possession of meth, a class D felony, with bond set at $2,000 surety and $500 cash.
