Police Recover More Than 100 Packages Of Synthetic Drugs

(PAOLI) - On Friday March 7, officers with the Paoli Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence at 506 Walnut Street and recovered numerous packet of a synthetic drug known as Spice in the home and a vehicle.

These products contain dried, shredded plant material and chemical additives that are responsible for the psychoactive effects.

Also located inside the residence were several items of drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm. Both 36-year-old Chad Noblitt and 35-year-old John Sease were arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail on preliminary charges of dealing and possession of a synthetic drug, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sease is also facing a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent.

During the investigation officer determined Noblitt was due to receive a fed ex package on March 10 from the state of Connecticut.

Officers were able to obtain a tracking number for the package and located the fed ex package at a sorting facility in Huntingburg.

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant. The search warrant was executed on march 10. Inside the package were three different name brands of synthetic drugs totaling 101 packages.
