(UNDATED) - A new state mandate will require added immunizations for Hepatitis A, to the list of inoculations children must have before enrolling in school next fall.

Indiana law now requires all children entering school to now have five D.P.T. shots, four for polio, two M.M.R. shots, three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine, and two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine before entering school.

All kindergarten and first grade students are required to have two chickenpox shots or a history of having had the disease.

Indiana law requires all students to have their immunizations before entering school in the fall.

If anyone has any questions regarding the required immunizations, contact your school district's central office or your county health department.
