(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was sentenced Wednesday afternoon after he accepted plea deals.
33-year-old Andrew Wilson, of Bedford, was sentenced by Superior Court I Judge Michael Robbins to 14 years to the Department of Corrections for possession of meth. He was sentenced to eight years in prison for possession chemical reagents or precursors used to make meth and possession of a controlled substance.
These sentences will be consecutively.
In the second case, Judge Robbins sentenced Wilson to four years in prison after he pled guilty to escape.
Wilson will serve one year of that sentence in prison, one year on electronic monitoring, one year of supervised probation and one year of unsupervised probation.
This sentence will be served consecutive to the sentences from the first case.
Wilson was arrested on June 23, 2013, and charged with dealing meth, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, trafficking with an inmate, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and a precursor.
The charges of dealing in meth, trafficking with an inmate, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and criminal mischief were dropped as part of the plea deal.
Then, on Sept. 23, Wilson was charged with escape and criminal mischief after he and another inmate, AaronTerrell, had attempted to dig out of the jail through a wall.
