(LINTON) - A Linton man was arrested Thursday night after he was involved in a fight with his girlfriend and threatened her with a knife.

Officers from the Linton Police Department arrested a 34-year-old John May on charges of intimidation, battery and criminal mischief.

When police arrived at the home they could hear the woman screaming. When the officer entered he found May holding a knife and both May and the woman had blood on her.

According to police the woman says May was upset because he thought the woman had left. He then grabbed her by the hair and held a knife to her threatening to kill her.
