(BEDFORD) - The North Lawrence school board members honored bus driver Kristen Hillenburg and BNL high school wrestler Jesse Knoblaugh last week.
Darren Waggoner, NL transportation director, says Hillenburg had been on her bus route in town when she noticed a house fire and called it in.
She was praised for her community service. BNL junior Jesse Knoblaugh was recognized to agreeing to wrestle Jasper High student Adam Schwartz in January.
Schawrts, who suffers spinal injuries and Down syndrome, had a dream of wrestling just once with the team. Knoblaugh, who is undefeated and knew of Schawrts injuries, agreed an exhibition match.
Schawrts won the match pinning Knoblaugh.
