BNL Lady Stars Set To Defend State Championship

(BEDFORD) - The BNL Lady Stars are headed to Terre Haute to defend their state title.

The game went into overtime and when it was all said and done, the final score read BNL 62 and Lawrence North 54.

BNL moves on to play Penn this Saturday at 8:15 pm for the 4A state championship at Hulman Center in Terre Haute.

Going into the game, both teams sported records of 25-1. Lawrence North was ranked No. 1 and BNL was ranked No. 2 in Class 4A.

Penn beat Logansport 44-41 to boost them to the state championship.

In the other state final matchups, Evansville Mater Dei will meet Western in Class 3A, Heritage Christian will play Fort Wayne Canterbury in Class 2A and Oregon-Davis will face Vincennes Rivet in Class 1A.
