(BEDFORD) - 73 students with the Bedford Middle School band hit the road for Washington D.C. where they will perform an outdoor concert at the Navy Memorial Building.
Band members will perform eight selections.
Students boarded charter buses early this morning.
21 adults, including band director Eric Berger, staff members and chaperones are joining the students.
During their stay they will visit numerous sites in the capitol city. The group plans to return to Lawrence County this Thursday.
