(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he caused a disturbance at the Hideaway Sunday morning.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the Hideaway at 5:20 a.m. after a patron refused to leave the business.

"When they arrived they found a man lying in the roadway yelling," Parsley says. "They got the man up and another patron told police he would take home 25-year-old Bradley Carter."

Carter got into the man's vehicle, but then exited it and began yelling for an employee inside the bar.

Police told him numerous times to get back in the vehicle, but Carter refused.

"He then attempted to get into one of the police vehicles," Parsley says. "He was again told to stop and to go get back into his friend's vehicle but Carter refused."

Carter then grabbed one of the officer's jacket and began struggling with the officer.

"Carter was tased and went to the ground," Parsley says. "He continued to fight with officers while they were attempting to handcuff him and he was tased a second time."

Officers were then able to handcuff Carter and take him to jail. He is charged with resisting arrest by force, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
