(SALEM) - A School bus accident this morning left no students injured, but the driver and his passenger in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Salem Community School bus Number 21 and a van collided at 9:30 a.m. on Brannaman Road, just off Rush Creek Road in Salem.
The school was on a two-hour delay because of the recent snow and the state of the roads in Washington County.
According to Indiana State Trooper Jerry Goodin, police, 40-year-old Bruce Todd was traveling west on Brannaman Road, driving a 1993 GMC Safari mini-van, when he hit a patch of ice and slid head-on into the bus.
Goodin says the bus, driven by 70-year-old Peggie Tuttle, was traveling east on Brannaman Road. Three students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Tuttle and the students were not injured.
35-year-old Stephanie Todd, a passenger in the van, complained of leg pain and was taken to St. Vincent Salem Hospital by personal vehicle.
The Washington County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
