Police Need Help Locating Dangerous Pranksters

(UNDATED) - Police are asking for the public’s help in solving two cases of criminal mischief in Jackson County.

According to police, these crimes need to stop for the safety of the public.

According to Indiana State troopers, the first incident happened Tuesday afternoon when two people, dressed in black, threw rocks off the Redding Road overpass at vehicle traveling north on Interstate 65, north of Seymour.

The second incident happened Tuesday around 8 p.m. when someone stretched a cable across County Road 50 North, north of Medora.

When police arrived they found a cable stretched across the top of a bridge.

A driver did hit the cable causing it to loosen, causing minor damage to the vehicle. Luckily no one was injured.

Witnesses told police there were three people in the area walking near the scene.

Police are unsure if the incidents are related, but anyone with information about either event is asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at (812) 358-2141.
