Orleans Woman Arrested After Police Found Meth

(BEDFORD) - An Orleans woman was arrested after she was stopped for a traffic violation Tuesday

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, 34-year-old Robin Higgs was stopped for a traffic violation at 4:45 p.m. on the south end of Mitchell Road.

"The officer ran a K-9 around the vehicle and the dog alerted police of possible drugs in the vehicle," Craig says.

Officers found a white-powdery substancein the vehicle that tested positive for meth.

Higgs was arrested and charged with possession of meth, maintaining common nuisance and driving while her driver's license was suspended.
