(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police officers arrested 23-year-old Joseph Fulkerson was arrested Wednesday night after police were called to a home in the 400 block of 22nd Street after a call of a domestic fight.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says that when police arrived at the home they found Fulkerson in the front yard, bleeding from the mouth.
Officers went inside and found another male that was involved in the fight and he refused to file charges against Fulkerson.
Police say the two were fighting over a woman.
However, the woman told police that she attempted to stop the two men from fighting and that is when Fulkerson allegedly shoved her.
Police say the woman had no visible injuries but she requested to file battery charges against Fulkerson. Fulkerson was then arrested and taken to jail.
