(BROWNSTOWN) - A North Vernon man who told police he robbed a Seymour bank to see whether he could and because he was mad at the government for spying has been sentenced.

21-year-old Wayne Paul Spaulding received a four-year prison term from Jackson Circuit Judge Richard E. Poynter.

Spaulding was given six days of credit edit and six days of credit time toward his sentence. He was ordered to pay restitution to River Valley Financial Bank, court costs and a public defender fee of $400 as part of his sentence.
