Linton Man Arrested After Cutting Up Ex-Wives Clothes And Stealing Her Car

(LINTON) - Criminal charges were filed Friday against a Linton man accused of cutting up clothing that belonged to a woman, then stealing her vehicle after they got into an argument over their divorce.

33-year-old William Joe Rose was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Friday.

According to police, Rose's ex-wife says their divorce was final on Thursday and the two had got into an argument and Rose allegedly cut up her clothing with a large knife and took her 2001 Dodge Caravan without her permission and did damage to the front window of the vehicle.

Police found Rose driving the vehicle and he was stopped and arrested. On Friday charges he was charged with auto theft and criminal mischief.
