(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are investigating the theft of a gun from the 300 block of Mayberry Court.
The owner of the gun came to the Lawrence County Police Department at 1:46 p.m. Thursday to report his handgun was missing from his home.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, the theft happened sometime around the beginning of February.
"There was no forced entry to the home," Craig says. "And only one item, the handgun, was missing."
Anyone with information about the missing handgun is asked to contact the Lawrence County Police Department.
