Last updated on Monday, February 10, 2014

(BEDFORD) - A homeless man was arrested after three men returned to their home early Friday morning and found him stealing a half-gallon of whiskey, a pound of bacon, queso dip and a bag of pepperoni.

According to Bloomington Police Lt. Steve Kellams, when the men arrived home at 12:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East Seventh Street they saw a man going through their things and putting things in his coat.

The men wrestled 54-year-old Montey Zike to the ground after he allegedly pulled a steak knife on the men. While two of the men held Zike, the third man called police.

Zike was charged with burglary, theft, intimidation with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. According to Kellams, Zike has been arrested more than 45 times since 1995 on charges from public intoxication to theft.
